Marietta, GA

My Aunt Bernice, who is actually my mother's aunt live's in Marietta so we stopped in there for a night.  She is 89 years old and still going strong with no signs of slowing down any time soon.  Her son Kenneth recently retired from the Boeing plant there.  He hunts for Indian artifacts in his spare time.  I showed him the wonders of the internet.  Kenneth and I walked outside just before midnight to see if we could see any of the shooting stars but we were chased inside by the cold before any appeared.

This is Don, one of Aunt Bernice's friends.  I caught one of his WWII stories on tape as well.   It's weird to think that my kids will grow up without knowing anyone who was in WWII.  Does it seem like those who were in WWII are a lot more free to talk about their experiences in the war than those who were in Vietnam.  I wonder if the way the country reacted differently has something to do with it?
